Job Description – Bookkeeper
WHO YOU ARE
You are an individual with positive energy and strong attention to details. As the Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for tracking our organization’s revenue, expenses, and taxes, as well as assisting with financial, budgeting and forecasting reports.Accurate records are foundational to our business operations, and the ideal candidate will know how to keep records in the best possible order. You will also collaborate with cross functional teams to update our management team on daily and long-term business functions.
Your responsibilities include:
- Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner
- Perform all activities timely and accurately related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
- Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
- Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as needed basis
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data
- Report discrepancies in financial records timely
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns
- Communicate effectively with clients and vendors regarding financial matters
- Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information
- Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
- Other duties as required.

YOU HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-5 years relevant experience working in accounting and bookkeeping
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial operations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient skills in Sage, QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger

Salary: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
