We’re Val Mart Door Sales and we design, build, and install specialty industrial doors throughout south-western British Columbia. For over 47 years, we’ve built everything from airport hangar doors to large truck doors for warehouses.
We have about 40 employees and are still growing. We’re looking for an bookkeeper with a great attitude to join our team.
Bookkeeper/Admin
You’re an experienced bookkeeper, excellent with computers, and don't mind training to help in some dispatching.
You thrive under tight deadlines, and love the challenge of ensuring every piece of data is accurate.
You’re great with people. You’re personable and friendly, and can build excellent relationships with your team, and the employees you interact with.
If that sounds like you, you’re exactly the person we’re dreaming to meet. Someone who can pitch in with some administrative duties.

The Specifics
This full-time job works from our office and shop in North Surrey. Once you’re finished training. We pay a competitive wage based on experience, on top of which you’ll have a great medical and dental plan.
Who We’re Looking For
If you’re motivated, hard-working and friendly, you’re the kind of person we’re looking for. Here are some of the other things that will help:
- You’ve either worked in a small organization and love wearing many hats, or you know you’d excel in a varied role.
- Experience bookkeeping or full-cycle accounting, include AR/AP, reconciliations and payroll
- Experience using intermediate functions of Microsoft Excel, like formulas and tables
- Experience in a customer-facing role
- Diploma in bookkeeping, finance or accounting
