Job Description Reporting to the VP, Business Operations, Capital Markets Finance, the Senior Manager leads delivery of multiple change initiatives across Capital Markets systems, data and business processes to support the investment trade life cycle. This is not simply a “project management’ role or reporting role, you will help transform our systems, data and processes that enable OMERS Capital Markets, Total Portfolio Management, and Corporate Finance functions to deliver on our pension promise. Our team is at the early stages of the transformation journey, and you will play a key role in the project management of large initiatives in the coming years, working with our internal partners to understand their needs and deliver outcomes to the highest possible standard.Responsibilities:Leads end-to-end delivery of projects and programs by working closely with investment professionals, platform and data teams, investment operations, technology teams and external vendorsEstablishes effective project structure and governance with clear roles and responsibilitiesDevelops project plan and ensure resources availability and allocationManages interdependencies across project workstreams and proactively identify risks and issuesFacilitates meetings and seek and incorporate diverse perspective to enhance decisions and recommendationsCommunicates with sponsors, project leads, and teams to ensure alignment on status, risks and issuesWorks closely with partners across Capital Finance Markets and responds flexibly to their inherent project management skillsetsUpholds strong ethical values and high integrityQualificationsMinimum 10 years’ experience in leading delivery of complex programs/projects in financial institutionsProven ability to work through ambiguity and effective communication with internal and external stakeholdersExcellent knowledge and experience in project management methodology, disciplines, and best practicesStrategic and innovative thinking to drive values through projects and initiativesGood knowledge of investment life cycle process and applicationsExperience with working with technology and dataCFA or MBA an assetAnd you demonstrate:A people-first focus with a desire to develop meaningful, positive relationships across all levels of the organizationA teammate mentality coupled with servant leadershipA sense of urgency, optimism, and a desire to deliver excellenceA desire to drive debate, to speak candidly and to listen empatheticallyStrong orientation towards strategy and changesMotivation with an ability to drive resultsA passion for delivering ‘beautiful work’#LI-HybridOur story:Founded in 1962, OMERS is one of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension plans, with $124 billion in net assets as at December 31, 2022.
