In 1977, OSI introduced the first generation electronic chart system for the maritime market and revolutionized navigation. Over the years we have had many firsts. Today, OSI Maritime Systems is a leading provider of integrated navigation and tactical solutions designed for naval and maritime security operations. Among those solutions, the company develops and delivers integrated bridge systems for warships, integrated dived navigation systems for submarines, and C2 systems for small craft. Presently, 23 navies totaling more than 600 warships and submarines operate using OSI systems. Due to the nature of our company, all employees must pass specific security criteria. Only candidates who are Canadian citizens, have PR status or have a citizenship from a NATO country, and who satisfy security clearance criteria, will be considered.
The Role
OSI's Marketing & Communications (Marcom) Department is a \one-stop\ shop for all marketing and communications requirements covering traditional and digital marketing, enhanced commercial graphics, through to strategic campaigns and initiatives. This administrative and graphics role will support OSI’s international trade show calendar. You will be managing, from the Burnaby office, the trade show administration, designing and delivering the graphics, and other logistics responsibilities.
Main Responsibilities
- Own event execution and operations, including trade show presence and booth builds
- Create work back schedules for trade shows, outlining expectations and deliverables
- Lead and formalize post-event debriefs and implement insights in future events
- Negotiate event pricing and contracts, and coordinate accounts payable
- Write and deliver creative content
- Creating graphics and design material
- Design, prepare and edit promotional materials such as brochures and datasheets;
- Work with print and digital content, and support digital marketing
- Carry out additional duties and/or special projects as assigned
You Bring
- A degree in Marketing or equivalent (graphic design credentials are an asset)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability develop professional written documents
- Familiarity with the B2B process and customer journey
- Experience working in a technical services organization
- Ability to prioritize a variety of projects simultaneously
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Blender/Maya
- Previous event management experience is preferred
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and deliver on schedule; detail-oriented and results-driven
- Must be eligible for a Canadian security clearance
