Job Description
We are growing our delivery driver team and are looking for independent contractor delivery drivers who are interested in delivering food to families from our warehouse in Barrie to the GTA on Thursdays.
We are a local produce and grocery delivery startup located in Barrie, Ontario. We curate weekly produce and bread baskets filled with local and in-season products. We also run a virtual farmers market with products from 100+ local farmers, bakers, artisans and chefs including produce, bread, dairy, eggs, meat & seafood, snacks, ready meals and more. We are your one-stop-shop for everything local and delicious!
About the role
We are looking for independent contractor delivery drivers to help us deliver orders to our customers on Thursday. You will pick up the bags for your delivery routes with your own vehicle at our warehouse in Barrie, and use our delivery app to deliver them to our customers following an optimized route. The app navigates you from order to order and sends updates to our customers when you are on route to their place, and when you have delivered their order to their doorstep.
How it works
We will reach out on Monday to ask if you are interested in delivering that week. You will confirm your availability and # of deliveries you would like to do, and we will send you your start time. You come to our hub at the agreed-upon time, load your deliveries into your car and deliver your route.
We pay on a per delivery basis, ranging from $2.50 to $5 per delivery based on the length and density of your route. On average our drivers make $20 to $25 per hour. You will invoice us for the deliveries on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis, and we will process and pay the invoice upon receipt.
