Digital Marketing Manager, Remote Candidates Welcome

The Digital Marketing Manager is primarily responsible for digital marketing leadership and management of key client accounts. Working alongside a team of talented marketers, you will oversee a handful of your own Digital Marketing retainer clients, while managing and supporting the Digital Marketing Specialists and Digital Marketing Coordinator to guide and advise them in their platform execution, campaign optimizations, and overall tactical approach. The Digital Marketing Manager is the key client contact for digital marketing strategy and performance and will be responsible for presenting performance updates in biweekly client meetings, and quarterly report presentations and providing daily strategic and tactical advice and recommendations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Digital Marketing Manager
- Accountable for digital marketing initiatives and efforts to drive traffic, engagement, sales, and leads that deliver results and result in client retention within your client portfolio.
- Oversee the success of existing digital channel campaigns and strategies including ongoing digital marketing retainers and occasional non-recurring digital marketing engagements (digital audits and strategy deliverables).
- Oversee and collaborate with team members in the implementation and optimization of digital campaign setup, execution, and evaluation. Prepare and present monthly/quarterly/yearly reports around results.
- Executing in-platform on Meta ads for key clients to fulfill daily client demands and pivots to strategy.
- Evaluation of digital marketing data and key metrics across all tactics, to understand trends and cross-platform impacts.
- Confidently speaking to performance realities and trends in client meetings, and clearly articulating areas of focus and shifts in strategy/ approach to maximize performance.
- Understand our client’s businesses and industries (competitors, trends, impacts) and the key opportunities and challenges.
- Identification of digital growth opportunities and how to implement these within the existing client portfolio.
- Identifying the latest trends and technologies affecting the digital marketing industry as well as your clients specifically.
Coaching and Management
- Daily management and coaching of 2-3 Digital Marketing Specialists.
- Advisory and mentorship from a tactical, in-platform, and strategic perspective.
- Review campaigns and ad structures to provide feedback and identify opportunities for testing/improvement.
- Oversight of report creation, and a deep understanding of how results should be disseminated to key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Qualifications and Skills
- 4+ years of digital marketing industry experience
- Expertise in Meta Ads, Google Ads (Search, PMax, Shopping, Display, YouTube), Google Analytics, and other core Digital Marketing channels (such as Twitter, TikTok, and Pinterest). Experience with SEO, email marketing, as well as buying ads through DSPs like The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP would be helpful and useful. Comfortable working within a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Understanding of GA4.
- Experience with paid media planning and paid digital marketing strategy.
- Experience in e-commerce an asset.
- Comfortable speaking with and presenting complex ideas and strategies to clients.
- Problem-solving mentality, with a constant focus on finding new and innovative solutions to both client and company challenges.
- A willingness to grow and adapt - with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
