About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and talented individual to join our team as the Director of Product Development and Support.
Responsibilities
- Lead a remote team of software engineers and support engineers in designing, developing, testing, deploying, supporting, and maintaining software products and technical solutions.
- Ensure compliance with information architecture and strategies while meeting customer expectations and market demand for content authoring and publishing features, functions, and integrated solutions.
- Provide internal support and helpdesk functions for technical, hardware, software, licensing, information security, and infrastructure needs.
- Align product development with market opportunities, expectations, and future scalability.
- Build internal competency within the department and foster a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Set and monitor goals for performance, delivery, quality, and response times.
- Establish robust quality assurance and release management practices.
- Develop and execute the product roadmap, considering customer support program and services.
- Identify skill gaps within the team and ensure appropriate resourcing or training to fill those gaps.
- Support pre-sales activities and contribute to thought leadership initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related disciplines (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of ten years' experience in a senior role in software development, support, and operations management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience of leading a software team.
- Previous experience in XML or structured authoring, preferably in the technical communications industry.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to distill client requirements into technical specifications.
- Excellent team management and leadership skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Track record of leading successful projects and delivering high-quality products or services.
- Familiarity with budget management and key performance indicators (KPIs).
