Job Description
WHAT’S THE JOB?
Based in a world class Outland camp facility, the regular shift for this position is 14 days on and 14 days off, with 10 - 12 hour workdays. Transportation is provided to site from a pickup point in Winnipeg or The Pas.
The Janitor is responsible for creating and maintaining the cleanliness of our facilities to the highest level. As this is a large site, this position involves a great amount of walking, moving from rooms to rooms within the site.
Your work will include:
- Maintain cleanliness of camps and surrounding areas by: sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, washing windows, interior walls and ceilings vents; vacuuming and sanitizing all areas in camp
- Wash, scrub, clean, and sanitizing designated kitchen and dining areas
- Conduct site inspections
- Remove snow from walkways, stairs and landings
- Ensure health and safety regulations and quality standards are maintained
- Assist with checking inventories and cleaning supplies
- Delivery of supplies such as housekeeping needs, water jugs.
- Removal of garbage around camp.
- Cleaning KDR lobby, bathrooms, and offices twice daily
- Clearing lot and dorm entrances of garbage and cigarette butts, cleaning butt receptacles
- Driving a company vehicle long distances to transport supplies and staff.

Qualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- You have knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products and equipment
- Must have a class 5 drivers license and a clean driving record.
- Ideally, you have related experience in camp setting or hotel/institutional environment; commercial cleaning is considered an asset
- You are fluent in English with good written and verbal communication skills
- You are able to stand for a long period of time and lift up to 35 pounds
