Front Desk Agent Job description
Our company is looking for a professional front desk clerk to oversee all receptionist and secretarial duties at our main entrance desk. You will perform a range of duties including answering phone calls, managing the switchboard, and maintaining the office budget.
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to appropriate individuals
- Check-in and check-out guests, ensuring accuracy of information and providing necessary assistance
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and effectively
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, proofreading, transcribing, and project coordination
- Coordinate appointments and manage calendars for the office staff
- Assist with event planning and coordination as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a front desk or customer service role preferred
- Familiarity with Google Suite or similar software for managing calendars, documents, and emails
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with professionalism
