We are recruiting for a HR Administrator to support First Response, a business unit under Ambipar Response.
Ambipar Response recently acquired First Response, which has resulted in a huge opportunity for growth and expansion into different areas of the environmental/emergency response industry. Ambipar is a multidisciplinary firm that provides a wide range of environmental, emergency response, industrial services, marine services, and training. RESPONSBILITIES AT HAND:
· Posting jobs through various job boards, updating and reposting as necessary;
· Daily resume screening and forwarding to the appropriate hiring manager;
· Pre-screening potential candidates and passing along notes to hiring manager for their consideration;
· Coordinating interviews with candidates and hiring managers;
· Conducting reference checks for successful candidates, based on the hiring managers request;
· Updating and maintaining employee records (i.e. documents, wage increases, title changes, completed performance evaluations);
· Conduct the HR orientation and systems training for new hires;
· Prep Performance Appraisal documents for employees;
· Updating the phone list and employee signatures when requested (i.e. promotion) or when a new hire is onboarded;
· Assisting in developing and updating document control for the HR department (procedures, job descriptions, performance evaluation, and other document templates);
· Supporting staff and managers with confidential employee matters while ensuring you maintain professionalism and confidentiality;
· Revise and update policies as required;
· Creating/developing HR initiatives;
· Attend meetings to engage and collaborate with managers on HR initiatives.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum 2 years of relevant HR experience or office administration experience OR equivalent education background (Diploma or Bachelor)
· Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent collaborator - ability to work in a team and independently
· A high-level of confidentiality
· Strong administration skills, including data entry
· Creative and innovative thinker
· Ability to be understanding, empathetic and relatable
· Strong skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.)
