Canadian Metal stamping manufacturing plant is searching for an experienced HR Manager who can help manage daily HR procedures. The plant has 288 employees, has little turn over and has a good family like culture. This position is located in Marketplace Ontario, Canada must live in that area.

1. ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:
· Responsible for the design, implementation, administration and operation of quality human resources programs, practices and procedures
2. SCOPE:
· Provides support and guidance to both Leadership and Employees
RESPONSIBILITIES/EFFORTS
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS
· Interprets and provides advice and guidance to managers/supervisors on a variety of employment issues related to discipline, employee relations issues, terminations, WSIB, training and other Human Resource policies and procedures
· Provides advice and guidance related to performance management to managers/supervisors
· Manages Social Committee, organizes social events throughout the year
POLICY & PROCEDURE
· Recommends, formulates and communicates company policies & procedures; ensures compliance with employment legislation, identifying gaps and taking corrective actions.
· Plans, develops, updates and implements various employee handbooks and procedure manuals
Health & Safety
· In conjunction with JHSC prepare and update health and safety manuals and procedures.
· Keep current with occupational health and safety legislation and continue to update leaders as necessary.
· Manage and keep up to date safety training records
· Oversees the WSIB Claims management process and manages claims
· Analyzes NEER statements quarterly, determining the company's financial position and identifying potential risk issues.
RECRUITMENT
· Develops and maintains the recruitment process in the organization including creating and updating job descriptions
· Searches out candidates for specific job openings – reviews resumes, coordinates and interviews candidates with hiring Managers/Supervisors, completes reference checks and issues offers of employment
· Builds quality relationships with external recruitment agencies while at the same time monitors, tracks and reduces the cost of the recruitment process
Compensation & Benefits and Payroll
· Designs, evaluates and recommends benefits programs and policies to ensure that programs are current, competitive and in compliance with legal requirements
· Conducts and participates in periodic wage and benefits surveys to ensure the pay scale is competitive with the labor market
· Makes recommendations to Managers/Supervisors concerning pay rates for their individual employees
· Manages Payroll & Benefits Coordinator, ensures employees are paid accurately and on time
Training & Development
· Develops, implements and monitors training programs
· Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward organizational objectives and ensure awareness of policy & procedures
· Coordinates with Managers/Supervisors for in-house training including Forklift, Overhead Crane, Aerial Lift, Apprenticeship training, etc.
Management Review
· Responsible for monthly and quarterly performance metrics related to but not limited to Human resources.
· Performs all duties as assigned in accordance with and adherence to the TS 16949 Quality System Standard
· Follows Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions as outlined in the Quality Systems Manual and Employee Handbook
· Performs all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety, 5S and Housekeeping guidelines and rules;
· Reports all unsafe & unhealthy conditions to Management or a member of the Joint Health & Safety Committee
· Performs other tasks as required
4. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/ PREREQUISITES
· University Degree is required with a focus in Business and/or Human Resources
· Minimum 7 plus years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably as a generalist in a manufacturing environment and at least 2 years’ experience at a management level
· Automotive experience an asset
5. PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE
· CHRP/CHRL designation or willingness to complete
· Strong Health & Safety background
· Familiar with ADP payroll processing and KRONOS time management system an asset

Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
