Our customer base includes Air Canada, WestJet, Canadian Coast Guard, Purolator, Petro Canada, Home Hardware, Alaska Airlines and a broad base of government entities such as the Federal Government of Canada.
Position Summary
The Driver and General Labourer has a duo role of delivering merchandise to customers located in Quebec and assisting with the maintenance of our building systems, which includes basic plumbing and electrician tasks. This individual is also expected to provide support in the warehouse and shipping area when necessary.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Driver
- Operate and drive automobiles and vans to deliver customers’ purchase orders in the province of Quebec.
- Load and unload merchandise.
- Confirm purchase order with customer upon arrival at the delivery location.
- Record information on deliveries such as vehicle milage, fuel cost and report any problems or incidents that may have occurred during delivery to the corresponding department.
- Inspect vehicle before and after trips.
- Ensure proper maintenance of delivery vehicle.
General Labour
- Assist in the shipping area by sorting, packing, and preparing orders to be shipped.
- Assist in repairing and maintaining lighting fixtures, electrical equipment, and electronic systems.
- Assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing fixtures and systems.
- Operate a forklift and use shipping and receiving scanning tools.
- Research industry codes for plumbing, electricity, and heating systems.
Qualifications
- Certificate in Building Systems and Maintenance.
- 3+ year of safe driving experience. • Class 5 Driver’s licence.
- Forklift experience.
- Ability to lift 70lbs
- Excellent understanding of plumbing, electronic systems, and heating systems.
- Problem solving skills.
- Good communication skills in multiple languages, written and spoken
