The Opportunity:
Senior Machine Learning Engineer
Location: Ottawa, ON / Richmond Hill, ON (Hybrid role)
This is an exciting opportunity for a Machine Learning Engineer to work with a team of driven, experienced ML engineers and data scientists building our next generation behavioral analytics platform for our fast-growing SaaS business.

You are great at:
Implementing data pipelines to support running cutting-edge machine learning techniques on massive amounts of data.- Working with product managers and data scientists to turn new features and algorithms into beautiful, battle-tested code.
- Leveraging technologies we use to analyze and identify cyber-security threats for our customers.
- Working side-by-side with some of the smartest minds in machine learning and behavioral analytics.
- Exploring new technology options for data processing and storage and share them with the team.
- Developing tools and contributing to internal and open-source projects wherever possible.
What it takes:
An undergraduate or masters' degree in Computer Science or equivalent engineering experience.- Proficiency in at least one major language (e.g., Java, Scala, Python) and SQL.
- Experience with data lake storage technologies such as Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, and Apache Hudi.
- Experience in developing streaming platforms using Spark Structured Streaming or Flink.
- Experience in building and implementing data pipeline workflow by leveraging Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
- Familiarity with MLOps platforms to manage ML lifecycles such as MLflow and Kubeflow.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker or any other infrastructure or containerization management/automation platform.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Practical experience with Agile/Lean software development methodologies
Nice to have:
Contributions to open-source software (code, docs or mailing list posts).
