Job Description
- Responsible in assisting the development and delivery of the North America marketing strategy for SGS Natural Resources.
- Accountable for fiscal restraint while implementing the North America Natural Resources marketing budget
- Plan, implement, monitor and track primary marketing strategies across all North America Natural Resources sub-business units effectively.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with external stakeholders (i.e. third party designers, printers, conference organizers, etc.) and internal stakeholders (i.e. Sales team, NAM Directors, Global Marketing Coordinators, technical and admin support personnel).
- Participates in the development and execution of the annual marketing plan and budget
- Manages the SGS brand in North America in accordance with global brand guidelines
- Contributes to the development and executions of the annual marketing plan for North America Natural Resources
- Event planning and management, including trade shows, conferences, technical presentations and sessions, client events
- Update, maintain and manage website and social media content including tracking usage and success of new content and developing content schedules on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Manages lists for mailouts and e-invitations from CRM for sales and marketing events
- Tracks opportunities for white paper presentations and alerts business managers/technical specialists on opportunities and deadlines. Provide support to technical presentations as required.
- Manages approved sponsorships and ensures that all SGS sponsorship follows brand guidelines and corporate policy
- Tracks and maintains event budgets and provides actual costs following completion of an event
- Assists with the creation, maintenance and distribution of highly professional looking marketing materials
- Establishes and maintains
- Organizes and distributes marketing collateral required for events
- Manages design, storage, maintenance and use of portable booths and popups
- Orders and manages supplies and distribution of promotional items for conferences and client events and tracks costs
- Advises and assists Global Marketing team on routine and paper-based updates required for marketing material
- Research media opportunities to promote SGS Natural Resources services. Works closely with Communications Manager for the execution and delivery of media opportunities.
- Develops and manages copy for advertising in conjunction with Communications
- Provide market intelligence to Senior Directors and additional management on an on-going basis.
- Assist technical team in the design and production of highly professional and polished PPT presentations with supporting marketing material as required
- Supports the Global Marketing Co-ordinator in new initiatives which have relevance to the North American market
- Leverage superior communicative and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse individuals and groups at all organization levels.
- Participate at SGS functions or conferences as needed.
- Other ad hoc jobs as required
Qualifications
- Education: B.Sc. degree or related experience
- Experience: Over 5 years of work experience and progressive responsibilities
- Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
- Candidates must be proficient in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel. PowerPoint & Outlook).
- Candidates should have reasonable working knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
- Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar and composition.
- Ability to work well with others & independently.
- Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Works well under pressure.
- Extended hours and shift work may be required from time to time.
- Travel to other SGS locations may be required from time to time.
