Job Description
Position Overview:
This role requires the successful applicant to work as a part of the Special Events operations team to provide our guests with an unforgettable experience in the successful operation of their event. The key responsibility of this role is to undertake table service duties, as well as prep work and closeout tasks.
Essential Job Functions:
- Run food from the kitchen to the banquet hall for table service.
- Assist with food and table prep before the event begins.
- Set up buffets with food presentation standards and practices in mind, ensuring safe food handling performance.
- Serve plated dinners to guests and respond to requests for beverages, appetizers and other needs.
- Clear tables of dirty plates, glassware and other debris throughout service.
- Clean the venue after the event ends and assist with inventory, food storage and other closeout tasks.
Additional Job Functions:
- Communicate with managers as well as other servers and event organizers.
- Move and stack tables and chairs.
- Replenish glassware at the bar, as required.
- Assist with taking out the garbage, sweeping and mopping the banquet kitchen floor and service hallway.
- Assist the Events Manager, Maitre D’(s) and other managers on-duty in response to emergencies that may arise.
Requirements:
- Completion or expected completion of high school education.
- Previous wait staff experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of catering practices is an asset.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Available to work May- October, evenings and weekends.
Skills/Abilities:
- High attention to detail.
- Customer-service oriented.
- Ability to work quickly and as a team in a fast-paced environment.

Part-time hours: 12-20 per week
Salary: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
