As an Occupational Therapist in our Courtenay clinic, you’ll find the tools you need to help people return to the workplace and improve their quality of life.
CBI Health Centre in the beautiful Comox Valley is seeking a dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our team. Your ability to develop relationships with patients and referral sources will enable you to maintain a robust private practice, as well as work alongside other passionate professionals as part of treatment teams.

This can be either full time or part time and will be working within our OR2/Disability program, at 780 Grant Avenue, Courtenay.
Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent client outcomes
- Provide assessment and treatment to a wide variety of clients with varying needs, including those with chronic and/or mental health conditions
- Provide impartial home, job, and safety/attendant care assessments, functional ability evaluations, insurer examinations, ergonomic assessments, client education, and job coaching, as required
- Coordinate the return to work process with all stakeholders in a timely way, ensuring a smooth transition into the workplace
- Work closely with the team and other resources to develop new programs to meet identified client needs
- Network with internal and external stakeholders to promote new and existing programs
- Perform regular, timely charting, reporting and communication
- Record workload measurement data
- Attend staff meetings and case conference meetings, as required
- Provide professional services to other CBI facilities or departments, as required
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful
- You are a graduate of a recognized School of Occupational Therapy
- You are a registered member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists in BC
- All team members are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination upon hire or provide a valid medical exemption
- You are passionate about your profession and committed to ongoing professional development
