The Fresh Produce Operations, Marketing Planning, Price Setting, Sales Standards, and Supervision position involves overseeing the operational aspects of fresh produce, developing marketing strategies, setting prices, establishing sales standards, and supervising their implementation. This role requires a strong understanding of the fresh produce industry, effective marketing skills, pricing expertise, and the ability to ensure compliance with sales standards.
Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations related to fresh produce, including inventory management, quality control, and supplier coordination. Ensure that all operational processes are efficient, cost-effective, and comply with industry regulations.
Marketing Planning: Develop comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns to promote fresh produce. Conduct market research to identify target markets, customer preferences, and emerging trends. Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling marketing materials and promotional activities.
Price Setting: Analyze market trends, competitors' pricing, and cost factors to set competitive and profitable prices for fresh produce. Adjust prices as necessary to optimize sales and profitability. Monitor pricing strategies and their impact on sales performance.
Sales Standards: Establish and communicate sales standards, including product presentation, packaging, and customer service guidelines. Ensure that sales staff are trained and adhere to these standards. Regularly assess and improve sales processes to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales growth.
Execution Supervision: Monitor and supervise the execution of operational and sales activities. Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure compliance with standards and achieve business objectives. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to maintain the freshness, quality, and safety of the fresh produce. Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to address any quality issues promptly. Continuously evaluate and enhance quality control processes.
Requirements
Proven experience in fresh produce operations, marketing planning, price setting, and sales supervision.
Strong knowledge of the fresh produce industry, including market trends, customer preferences, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills to develop effective marketing plans and pricing strategies.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills to manage a team and ensure adherence to sales standards.
