Nuovo Surfaces is an importer, distributor, retailer of Italian porcelain slabs and tiles. Established in 2019, the company celebrated its 3rd anniversary in 2022, a milestone for a small company. Today, the company owns and operates facilities in Toronto and a custom range of clients all around North America.
Nuovo Surfaces is well known for its impressive selection of porcelain slabs, variety of tiles, mosaics many of which are exclusive to Nuovo Surfaces.

Description:
The ideal candidates must be able to work under minimal supervision as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced, client-oriented sales environment. Handling of clients with a high level of professionalism and courtesy is required while providing expertise and knowledge in the stone and tile industry to customers. This role requires strong business acumen along with a capacity to assist corporate promotion to architects, designers, dealers/resellers and end users in the generation of profitable sales.
Areas of Responsibility:
· Supporting customers by providing detailed information/specs on the company's range of products in the territory
· Identify and build profitable long-term relationships with the architectural and design community as well as commercial property owners
· Generating new revenue and increase existing revenue within a specific geographic market
· Strategically planning, managing and participating in the complete sales cycle - prospecting, qualifying, presenting and closing on sales opportunities
· Strategically planning and developing new business opportunities by effectively networking with and developing new relationships with other professionals who will refer potential clients
· Creating and delivering design solution presentations
· Continually maintaining and building relationships with existing clients
· Estimating prospective opportunities for inclusion in formal quotations
· Providing post-sale customer service with respect to deliveries, warranty or deficiency claims, and following up on outstanding accounts receivable
· Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses
· Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions
· Any other tasks and functions required by management
Skills and Knowledge:
· Proven track record of sales and technical knowledge
· Stone and tile industry experience an asset
· 2-5+ years experience in similar role
· Must have strong oral and written communication skills
· Must be people oriented
· Must have entrepreneurial skills
· Must be results oriented
· Must be able to work Saturdays when needed.
Education:
· A college diploma or university degree in business, project management, interior design and architecture is recommended
