Reporting to the Health Services Manager and under the supervision of the NZ Frailty Coordinator, the Rehabilitation Assistant is a member of the health care team, providing support to clients and families through the Provincial Frailty and Mobilization program to support early mobilization of clients. Rehabilitation Assistants within the mobility teams will provide early mobilization interventions to individuals in hospital care setting related to the client’s mobility needs, Clinical Frailty Score and overall plan of care. Rehabilitation Assistants practice in adherence to practice standards and scope of employment.
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
Grade 12 or GED- Rehabilitation Assistant Program (which includes both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy components)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Ability to communicate well with both patients and their families and staff
- Good interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively with team members
- Organizational ability to complete assigned work and manage changing staffing and caseload levels
- Knowledge of proper body mechanics
- Demonstrate basic computer skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Access to reliable transportation

- Shifts include days, evenings, and weekends.
$22.39 - $25.44 Hourly
