The successful candidate for this full-time position will be a part of a highly motivated and highly technical work environment that feeds off the collective energy of a team-oriented workplace.Location: Markham/Quebec or RemoteOpenings: 3Schedule: Hybrid from Markham and Quebec; remote from other locationsDESCRIPTION –Seeking an experienced high-performing contractor position for a Construction Project Planner/Scheduler for our client of a $2.5B strategic business unit inside of Client’ Global Building Technologies Business. They install and maintain the systems to help keep buildings and facilities connected, safe, secure, comfortable, and cost-efficient and are a leading provider of energy efficiency solutions worldwide.The successful candidate must be an experienced project scheduler to develop and maintain baseline schedules and update with progress along with earn value management periodically throughout the project duration for multiple projects, programs, and portfolios across North America. In this role, you will be collaborating with project managers, project controls team, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders, setting tasks, and monitoring the execution of project timelines, resources, and cost profiles. You will also prepare project progress and performance evaluation reports and earned value management.ResponsibilitiesCreate, review, update and administer project schedules in company standard tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, Cora PPM)Liaise with engineers, project managers and other project team members to keep schedule updated and identify project issues and drive consistency of the project scheduling approach to facilitate accuracy in project execution and reporting.Liaise with customers to review and align project schedules seamlessly to their schedules.Request and guide the development of sub-contractor project schedules.Keep customers updated on progress and organize meetings and presentations to discuss project plans and associated issues and opportunities.Work to prepare reports and updates for internal project reviews.Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule, baseline, update status, and perform KPI measurements.Develop and maintain summary level schedule reports: Gantt, milestone charts, and other tools used to support critical path analysis, near-term tasks work, priority-based resource allocations, performance variances, and to support cost/schedule integration.Gather and analyze information to prepare reports on the progress of projects. If required, travel to project sites to review and update construction progress.Basic QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience using MS Project, Primavera P6, Asta or Cora PPMKnowledge of cost estimating, tracking and controlMinimum 3 years of experience in resource loading the schedule.Minimum 3 years of experience in & cost loading the schedule.Understanding Earn Value Management (EVM) concept and experience in applying into the project schedule to drive KPIs.Some hands-on experience with enterprise-wide cost accounting system, SAP preferred (but not mandatory)Being ambitious, self-motivated, hard-working, results orientated, problem solver with a positive attitude.Ability to balance between short term achievement and long-term development.Being a natural forward planner who critically assesses their own performance.Strong communication skillsPreferred QualificationBachelor’s or equivalent degree / experience combination in construction and/or engineering and/or project managementAdvance Knowledge of Microsoft office suitesKnowledge of business and commercial concepts and processes, including contracts, budgeting and project financial management, and cash flowCertification from PMI or equivalent.About The ClientLeading American publicly traded, multinational conglomerate corporation.
