Role: Senior Project Leader/Executive

Contract duration: 240 days, possibility of extension

Responsibilities could include but are not limited to:
· Advising Senior Management/Leadership on a range of issues, affecting the organization’s ability to achieve the business objectives of DGMP Strat and/or CMP/MPC.
· Advising several Senior Project Managers, each responsible for an element of the project/program/portfolio and its associated team (for example project and financial management).
· Formulating statements of problems; establishing procedures for the development and implementation of significant, new or modified project, program or portfolio elements to solve these problems, and obtaining approval thereof.
· Managing the implementation of a project/program/portfolio to identify, analyze, plan, track and control progress on a continuous basis.
· Developing/making recommendations and providing advice to Senior Leadership for improvements; assisting in developing solutions; and implementing recommendations in developing strategies, standards, plans, policies, and programs pertaining to the MPMS.
· Preparing and presenting findings, status and other relevant matters.
· Managing Program changes in accordance with the change management process.
· Developing project alternatives and identifying their administrative, economic, and technical feasibility and practicality associated policy and organizational change requirements.
· Assisting in the planning, directing, and controlling the activities related to an initiative, within scheduled time and cost parameters.
· Supporting senior leaders for the implementation of initiatives to identify, analyze, plan, track and control progress on a continuous basis.
· Updating and providing briefings to upper management/senior leadership on progress and concerns related to the project and assigned files; providing updates as required by senior leadership.
· Conducting visits and consultations internally to the CAF, with external domestic agencies, and with international partners and agencies as required by the team leadership.
Skills/Experience Required:
· MUST HOLD A valid security clearance (please indicate on resume)
· A minimum of 10 years’ experience in managing strategic and operational planning of an organization.
· A Masters degree in one of the following:
o HR Management
o Strategic Policy Development
o Personnel Systems Analytics
o Defence Study
o Project management, or
o Public Administration
· A minimum of 8 years’ experience in:
o Advising Senior Management for improvements assisting in developing solutions, and implementing recommendations.
o Advising Senior Management on complex issues pertaining to the personnel management system including recruiting, managing, retaining, and transitioning personnel
