Job Description
We are looking for a class 1 truck driver who will be responsible for moving trailers between the yard and sometimes to clients.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspection of the roll-off truck and report any defects or damages to immediate supervisor or foreman
- Operate roll-off truck in a safe manner and in accordance with all federal transport laws and policies
- Ensure that no damages are made to the roll-off truck and roll-off bins
- Ensure that every roll-off bin being transported are secured and will not cause any spillover of materials along the way to and from the dumpsite
- Dump bins safely in accordance with dumpsite safety policies
- Report immediately to immediate supervisor or foreman any incidents/accidents that may happen during the operation of the roll-off truck
- Ensure that every bin that’s being picked-up/dumped are scaled properly (scaled-in/scaled-out)
- Ensure that all paperwork required are filled-up and submitted to the immediate supervisor at the end of every shift – paperwork
- Report immediately any delays in transporting the roll-off bins to immediate supervisor or foreman
- Perform regular maintenance of roll-off truck (topping off fluids, greasing)
- Ensure that roll-off truck is clean inside and out at the end of the daily shift schedule
- Perform other tasks as may be required by immediate supervisor or foreman
Skills and qualifications
- Completion of high school
- Licenses - class 1 license (both automatic and manual)
- Experience – more than 6 months of truck driving
- Ability to drive roll-off trucks in tight spaces
- Personal characteristics (patience, positive attitude towards work, self-confident, trustworthy)
- Able to communicate in English
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Schedule
Monday to Friday 12 PM to 8:30 PM
