Job Description Under the managerial direction of the Regional Manager Diabetes the primary role of the Clerk Receptionist will be to provide secretarial, clerical, reception and administrative support to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the clinic and its processes. The regional programs include the Niagara Diabetes Centre, the Adult Diabetes clinics, the Paediatric Diabetes Clinics. Responsibilities include scheduling of all referral appointments with Community Wide Scheduler, data input to support accurate patient file database, physician billings and GRASP, maintaining and filing confidential records, taking meeting minutes, ordering & maintenance of program inventory etc. The incumbent will receive and direct incoming patients, respond to general public inquiries and handle, record and process all incoming calls through the base (WHS) office. The Clerk Receptionist will also assist with support requests from clinic staff and perform additional tasks/projects as directed by the program manager. The successful candidate's home site will be the Welland Hospital Site and must be willing to work at other Niagara Health System sites.
