We have a full-time opportunity for a dental receptionist at a dental specialty clinic in Ancaster and Hamilton.
Applicants must be well versed in customer service and have previously worked in a dental office and/or retail environment with extensive experience in patient and/or customer interactions.
Knowledge of dental/medical terminology is an added asset. We are looking for a positive, detail-oriented team player who can communicate clearly and has a professional friendly demeanor.
Please note that preference will be given to candidates with dental reception experience or with a dental education background.
Job responsibilities include answering incoming telephone calls, scheduling appointments and responding to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner. You will also be required to register patient information, create invoices, prepare correspondence, sort out dental insurance related procedures and handle patient accounts/receivables. This position also entails educating and orientation of new patients, along with presenting treatment plans with focuses on the Oral & Maxillofacial specialty (e.g. Oral Surgery, Dental Implants and various Oral/Jaw Related Procedures) and Endodontic specialty (Root Canal Procedures).
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and an excellent understanding of dental terminology as well as dental insurance processes. Demonstration of leadership abilities, professionalism and strong interpersonal skills are essential. Our goal is to work effectively as a team to provide excellence in patient service.
