Sidekick Brewing is searching for a Sales & Distribution Manager to join our team! Located on the Chilliwack River, Sidekick is the latest brewery to open in the area. What You’ll Do
As a key member of Sidekick, you will support our mission to make our team, our community, and our world, a better place. The Sales & Distribution Manager at Sidekick Brewing will be working alongside the Operating Owner and Head Brewer to oversee, expand, and execute Sidekick’s wholesale operation—generating new customer relationships and sales and continuing to cultivate these relationships, providing customers with exceptional service and beer knowledge, and partnering with other Sidekick staff to distribute product.
This includes, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
Wholesale Product & Relationship Management
- Work with the Operating Owner and Head Brewer to plan, oversee, and execute on the growth of Sidekick’s wholesale sales & distribution operation
- Increase overall sales & consumption and brand presence & awareness of keg and can sales to bars, restaurants, and liquor stores—initially in BC’s lower mainland.
- Promote Sidekick’s new products and grow sales of existing products.
- Plan and execute on and off premise promotions as required.
- Represent Sidekick Brewing at various community events, festivals, markets, etc.
- Cultivate and maintain ongoing positive relationships with key accounts and distributor partners through marketing, product education, and events.
- Ensure Sidekick product placement, labeling, storage, and inventory/depletion optimizes sales at customer locations.
- Achieve planned sales and distribution goals.
- Support and promote Sidekick Brewing’s values and company culture.
- Operate effectively within corporate and budgetary guidelines.
Product Delivery
- Plan and schedule weekly efficient routes and deliveries of product for the team.
- Load and unload products safely, taking precaution to protect product, people, and property.
- Complete scheduled pick-ups and deliveries between assigned locations.
- Safe operation of forklifts, vans, and other loading and delivery equipment.
Tracking, Reporting, and Administration
- Ensure all provincial and federal laws pertaining to the sale, merchandising and promotion of beer are maintained.
- Track and monitor success of our products in all accounts.
- Monitor distributor inventory and depletion.
- Handle customer inquiries regarding product info and other questions.
- Compile wholesaler updates and news blasts.
- Submit monthly reports on product sales performance.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- Clean driving record: Submit current copy of driving record with application
- Have and maintain a valid BC drivers license: Submit photo of ID
- Access to a personal vehicle
- Of legal drinking age
- Valid Serving it Right certificate
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs as needed
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation and sales
- Passion for craft beer
- Strong work ethic and dedication to reaching and exceeding personal sales goals
- Effective time management skills and the ability to work well independently with minimal supervision
- 2-5 years sales experience in the beer industry and/or other consumer packaged goods business is preferred
- A comprehensive understanding of beer styles, production methods, and trends is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
This is a full-time, salaried position. Sidekick Brewing offers benefits and a salary range of $54,080-70,720, depending on experience and qualifications.
