Job Description
Reporting to the Manager, Sales Planning, this person will be responsible for guiding the overall strategy and execution of Kia Canada Inc.’s (KCA) long- and short-term plans. Working closely with other departments, the incumbent will help to facilitate cross-functional programs, establish, and communicate strategic sales plans and work hand-in-hand with regional teams from across Canada to deliver results leading toward sales target achievement on a monthly basis.- Develop quarterly motivational/incentive programs for dealers and field staff teams.
- Establish regional/district/dealer sales objectives using data-driven methods.
- Regular budget management (forecasting, accrual, and actualization) of all departmental programs.
- Active management of Sales Planning document through forecasting and actualization of retail, wholesale, and production data.
- Assist with the management of regional major marketing initiatives.
- Monthly/Weekly/Daily reporting and analysis of internal and industry sales results.
- Provide analytical support to the National Sales Group. Involves preparing daily, weekly and monthly sales reports, sales/marketing analysis, traffic reports and field staff activity.
- Liaison with vendors, Regional Sales Managers and other departments on sales initiatives and programs.
- Track progress of various National Sales programs and initiatives and report on the success of these programs.
- Coordinate and process payouts and awards.
- Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions.
- Research past sales results, current market studies and competitive information and deliver timely and accurate reporting, and data exchange.
- Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders in the business to plan, implement & execute key initiatives, while ensuring alignment with overall strategy and delivery on objectives.
- Other ad-hoc/requests/projects including clerical duties that may be requested.
- Lead and guide one direct report.
- 3-5 years of automotive/sales/marketing experience is an asset.
- Successful completion of post-secondary education in a related discipline, including automotive and business, or related work experience.
- Self-starter has the drive to achieve more and challenge where appropriate (existing reports, processes, etc.).
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) including strong technical knowledge of Excel related to model development (forecasting) and data analysis.
- Knowledge and hands on experience on working with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills including formal and informal presentations (experience with writing reports and developing presentations for executive management).
- Ability to work in a team environment with people of various backgrounds and with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and time management.
- Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
- Bilingual in English and French is considered an asset, but not required.
