We are searching for a positive, energetic, deadline-driven Sales Representative to help develop and grow Telpay’s business payment solution across Canada. You will be part of a Sales Team dedicated to growing our customer base. In this role, you’ll be trained on the Telpay sales process and learn about the organization’s products, services, and policies.
To be successful as a sales representative, you should be willing to learn as much about the company as possible and be able to spot opportunities that have been overlooked by others. For 35 years, Canadian-owned Telpay has delivered innovative, cost-effective, and secure electronic payment solutions that are an alternative to writing cheques to consumers, financial institutions, and businesses. In 1985, Telpay was founded as an R&D division of Comcheq Services. From there, Telpay pioneered the first telephone bill payment service. Moving from telephones to the computer and the Internet, Telpay has been constantly committed to improvement and has grown to be one of Canada’s most trusted and largest independent electronic payment companies, having processed over $20.7 billion in payments annually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the manager or assigned staff member, and completing all allocated tasks.
- Prospect cold or active companies and promote Telpay’s business payment solution.
- Generate and qualify leads to grow revenue.
- Maintain accurate documents and sales records in CRM.
- Assisting new customers through the application and onboarding process.
- Reviewing sales performance against sales targets.
- Identifying potential weaknesses and offering improvement suggestions.
- Conducting desktop research, or gathering information through surveys, or speaking to clients and staff.
- Keeping a log of everything learned and delivering presentations to staff and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or similar.
- A degree in marketing, business, or similar is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong self-motivation, organization, and determination.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
- Ability to remain calm in fast-paced environments.
- Superb interpersonal skills.
- At least 1+ years of sales experience in a SaaS or technology environment is an asset.
