Job Description
Located inside the beautiful Hotel Grand Pacific on the inner harbour, Fathom is a gorgeous new restaurant offering elegant indoor seating, a cozy lounge, a delightful patio and a new pergola. We're looking for another server to join our team and create exceptional experiences for hotel guests, local residents, and visitors from afar. The selected candidate will work in a professional environment with a hands-on management team.
This is an exciting time to join our independent property and promote our exquisite menu created by Executive Chef Peter Kim. Fathom offers a unique, seafood-forward yet well-rounded menu tailored to please all those who choose to explore its depths. $17.87/hr plus gratuities
Schedule Details:
- Full-time, temporary position working up to 40 hours per week.
- Candidates will be required to work a mix of morning and evening shifts.
- Contract will end in October, with possibility of extension depending on operational needs.
Duties:
· Provide a welcoming, first-class experience for our guests
· Advise guests on our menu and use suggestive selling
· Take orders in a timely, accurate and professional manner
· Read guests and accommodate requests where possible
· Maintain immaculate presentation and cleanliness at all times
What We’re Looking For:
· At least 2 years of experience in fine dining or a full-service hotel
· Food Safe and Serving It Right Certificates required
· A polished demeanour, excellent interpersonal skills, and professional verbal communication skills
· Knowledge of Squirrel POS
· Comfortable working in a high-volume environment, with proven ability to multi-task
· Takes initiative to improve knowledge and stay updated on menus
· Available to work more than 30 hours per week at varied shift times
