The Opportunity: The Life Skills Worker is accountable for providing the day to day program services outlined in the Bridging to Employment Program, Funding Contribution Agreement. This includes the development of life skills and employment educational programming, one on one support with participants to ensure they have opportunities to increase their ability to achieve financial self-sufficiency through employment.
- Ensure the implementation of programming based on program objectives as outlined in the deliverables of funding contracts, community plans and individual employment goal plans
- Ensure data collection and file maintenance
- Prepare reports as required
- Provide individual assessments and follow intake processes for applicants to the program as outlined in the funding contract
- Oversee and facilitate culturally appropriate therapeutic life skills and employment psycho-social education training that is experiential in nature and follows contractual obligation as well as the individual needs of the program participants
- Provide referrals for program participants and their families to access community services as required

What You Will Bring to The Role:
- Two year post-secondary Diploma in a related field: Life Skills, Social Service
- Therapeutic life skills certification or employment counseling certification an asset
- Experience working in a training or educational setting as a facilitator
- Experience in working with addiction, family violence and disabilities
