Network Infrastructure
The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia's Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.
The team you will be a part of
Within the Network Infrastructure group, the WaveSuite team is building a new suite of applications that provides assurance, fulfillment, and analytics for telecommunication network providers/operators using state-of-the-art design and technologies.
Position: WaveSuite Software Developer Co-op/Intern
Duration: 8 - 16 months
Date: Starting September 5th, 2023
Location: Hybrid in Ottawa, Canada or virtual in Canada
What you will learn and contribute to
As part of the team, you will:
- Support the DevOps and platform teams using Groovy, Python, Gradle and Ansible.
- Working with Jenkins to build and support our CI/CD pipelines.
- Working with Artifactory and BitBucket servers.
- Gain exposure to containerized microservices applications (using Docker/Kubernetes)
- Work in a team of highly motivated and talented software engineers, responsible for delivering new software capabilities available to the WaveSuite product suite.
Your skills and experience
Education Recommendations
Currently a candidate for Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering or related field with an accredited school in Canada.
You have :
- Experience with UNIX/Linux environments.
- Experience with a variety of programming languages including Java 8, Scripting, Python
- Experience with Git, JIRA, Bitbucket, Jenkins, IntelliJ/Eclipse/Visual Code/WebStorm.
