YOUR ROLE AS AN IT PROJECT MANAGER
As a member of the Information Technology (IT) team working under the CTO, the IT Project Manager (ITPM) ensures the timely and quality delivery of Leger’s IT Infrastructure Projects.
The ITPM will be called upon to scope, estimate, plan, monitor, control and execute IT Infrastructure Projects identified by the business by working with all stakeholders, including but not limited to Leger’s business sponsors, technical resources, non-technical resources, and external suppliers.
The ITPM might be called upon to lead projects to introduce new software solutions, scale IT processes, and leverage cloud providers for the organization. The ITPM may also be tasked with leading software implementation and integration initiatives.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead multiple IT projects from initiation to completion
- Develop and manage project budgets
- Communicate with stakeholders, including IT personnel, vendors, and executive leaders
- Lead risk management and mitigation efforts
- Gather, analyze, and report IT project metrics
- Define the scope of the projects
- Estimate timelines and stay on schedule
- Manage resources (including teams and individuals)
- Document progress of projects
- Assess risks
- Maintain a good working relationship with Leger’s departmental units
- Provide constructive feedback to project resources
- Foster a dynamic work environment through open and enthusiastic communications
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Requirements
- Ten (10) years or more of IT experience
- Three (3) years or more as a Project Manager
- Project Management certification or similar
- Well versed in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- DEC in computer sciences or any combination of certifications covering equipment configuration, general networking, and relevant experience
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to prioritize and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Aptitude to understand technical concepts and new technologies
- Resourcefulness to mitigate project blockers quickly
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player and a willingness to help others
- Excellent command of technical fields: inner workings of a computer/server, network computing, programming, etc.
- Knowledge of software tools, such as Jira, Confluence, SmartSheet, etc.
- Good knowledge of Cloud computing, more specifically Microsoft Azure and 365
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle
- Fluently bilingual (French/English)
