Job Description SUPERVISOR, TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT - INTERPRETING & TRANSLATION SERVICES - TORONTOToronto, ON, Canada Req #255Tuesday, July 18, 2023Canadian Hearing Services (CHS) is hiring for the position of Supervisor, Training and Development, reporting to the Manager, Professional Practice. The Supervisor, Training and Development is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies and initiatives to deliver continuing education and professional development for interpreting professionals (interns, staff, and freelance). The successful candidate will lead overall curriculum development, assessment, and incorporate methodological and socio-political issues involved in sign language and interpreter education. This role will share the responsibility of the Interpreter Internship Program (IIP) and the Interpreting and Translations portion of the CHS Learning Management System (LMS).This is a permanent, full-time, non-unionized position working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9 AM to 5 PM. Standby evening and weekend work will also be required.The ideal candidate will be a professional interpreter who brings experience developing, planning, and implementing a wide range of professional development and learning opportunities including using digital technologies.
