Job Description
Your Water Company is looking for both new and experienced drivers to fulfil positions in our company. A minimum DZ license is required to apply for the position.
Positions are open for our home water delivery positions. Drivers will operate a straight truck with tank. Dispatch is sent out the night before, but may change through the day. You will perform a circle check to begin your day, then proceed to the local fill station to load the truck. You then proceed to the customer(s) on your list and unload into cisterns, pools, wells, containers, etc. This process may be performed between 4 and 14 times through the day. We have a mix of manual and automatic transmissions. This is an outdoor job and you will be subjected to the elements while making deliveries.
We require experienced drivers who are able to provide an insurance LOE showing at least 3 of the last 5 years coverage under heavy commercial truck insurance. These must be submitted with your application. They can be obtained through previous employers or insurers and they need to state experience with HEAVY COMMERCIAL VEHICLES. The letters must be from the insurance companies and NOT the employer's letterhead (unless they self-insure). These are required to get on our fleet insurance. There are no exceptions.

Requirements:
- LOEs from previous insurers showing 3 of the last 5 years of heavy commercial vehicle coverage.
- Flexibility, as hours vary based on weather/precipitation (Average 40hrs/wk at end of year).
- Ability to work independently in an environment that, at times, can be fast-paced.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Minimum DZ license. AZ is an asset as we do have a tanker.
- Ability to perform circle check, report any required truck concerns to the maintenance supervisor.
- Ability to move large hoses and lift approx. 40lbs.
- Ability to maintain attention while loading and unloading the water from the truck.
- Ability to collect payment, fill out necessary receipts and driver paperwork.
- Ability to communicate effectively with dispatch.
- Have good customer services skills, be friendly and courteous when in contact with customers.
- Saturday availability.
We are looking for people to start right away. Hours vary throughout the year, however over the course of the year, our drivers average 38-42 hrs per week.
Full time and casual positions available. Trucks are located at various locations in Niagara (ie Pelham, NOTL, St Catharines, Beamsville).
