Role Description
The ideal candidate will be well organized and comfortable dealing with financial and confidential data entry. This individual will be responsible for all company financial transactions. They should be excellent at recording data and have an ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and strong leadership skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list is not all inclusive, other duties assigned as necessary.
- Full cycle accounting, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory accounting, product orders, budget planning and other duties as required.
- Recording all company financial transactions.
- Preparing financial reports such as invoices, tax filings (GST), monthly/yearly financial statements, biweekly payroll filings (Employer Health Tax, Workers Compensation).
- Accounts Receivable – ensure vendor and customer accounts are maintained, up to date, and accurate.
- Accounts Payable – process daily, weekly, and monthly transactions such as receipts, deposits, and vendor payments.
- Monitor and reconcile general ledger to trial balance stage.
- Payroll and Group Insurance Administration.
- Data entry of daily live receiving includes, but not limited to, daily, weekly and monthly condemnation/payment reports to outside stakeholders.
- Other administrative duties as required.
Education and/or Experience
- Preference will be given to candidates with certification in accounting, business or administration, or similar.
- 2+ years’ experience in accounting/bookkeeping would be preferred.
- Familiarity with general financial processes such as bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable and payroll principles/legislation compliance.
Communication and Language Skills
- · Ability to understand/communicate in English both verbally and written communication.
- · Ability to communicate effectively with management personnel, collaborate with coworkers and communicate with external stakeholders.
- · Ability to work both as a team member and individually to complete all tasks accurately.
Mathematical Skills and Reasoning Ability
- · Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- · Good organizational and time management skills.
- · Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
Other Skills and Abilities
- · Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS office and Outlook.
- · Proficient data entry skills.
Schedule
40 hours per week, flexible work schedule.
Compensation
Negotiable wage based on qualifications
