Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our rapidly growing organization. With our Global Headquarters based in Burnaby, BC, we are Canada's #1 Pizza by the slice and are focused on achieving accelerated North American growth.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring our financial operations are accurate, compliant, and transparent. You will work with large volumes of data, manage multiple tasks with deadlines, and provide comprehensive reports to management. We value individuals with a strong grasp of accounting and financial practices, excellent computer and communication skills, and a commitment to integrity and professionalism
Involved in Full Cycle Accounting, including preparing financial statements, conducting audits, reconciling accounts, and creating working papers.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all company, local, provincial/state, and federal accounting and financial regulations.
- Compile, analyze, and report financial data accurately and timely.
- Prepare periodic reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, and other financial statements.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date financial records.
- Conduct audits, identify discrepancies, and implement effective resolutions.
- Compute taxes and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Stay informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
- Assist management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and cost analyses.
- Present complex quantitative data to decision-makers in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks
- Experience processing a high-volume of invoices
- Experience working with multiple accounts
- Experience working with external auditors
- Year-End Financial Statements experience
- Experience and knowledge of working papers
- Live within 20km of Freshslice Head Office
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive base salary $80,000 - $120,000 + Bonus
- Performance-based annual bonus plus additional bonuses for:$10,000 for recruiting a standard franchisee or $5,000 for a Joint Venture Partner. $50,000 for recruiting as a Master Franchisee.$1,000 for finding a new location.
