Job Description
Long established reputable construction company has an opening for an accountant and office administrator in a senior role.
Duties involve but not limited to:
*Assisting the payroll administrator with bi-weekly payroll
*Supervising the AP clerk
*Monthly bank reconciliations for various accounts and credit cards
*Accounts Receivable for certain projects
*Payroll withholdings remittances
*Worksafe BC remittances
*Managing the health benefits database
*Updating employee database - issuing ROE's
*Assisting with Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable - holiday coverage
Programs we use are Quickbooks Premier Contractor Edition, Excel, Exaktime, GoogleApps.

You will report directly to the Controller; We are looking for someone who is comfortable and confident working independently as well as part of a team. Others in the company telecommute and work from home, this position is in the office and you will be required to liaise with others and be the person in the hub managing the back and forth and documentation. You must be detail oriented and a motivated self-starter with good problem solving skills. Five years relevant experience is a must. Starting salary is $65 - $80K depending on experience and qualifications.
