Job Summary: Golden Isles Olive Oil is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial records, performing financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial information and supporting decision-making processes within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledgers, balance sheets, and income statements.
Monitor and reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Prepare and analyze financial reports on a regular basis, including profit and loss statements, budget vs. actuals, and cash flow projections.
Conduct regular audits to ensure financial compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Manage payroll processing, including tax withholdings, deductions, and employee benefits.
Prepare and submit timely and accurate tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
Assist in the development and monitoring of the annual budget.
Provide financial analysis and support to management, including cost analysis, revenue projections, and investment opportunities.
Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting and finance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.
Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
