We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a(n) Accounting Administrator to work within our Automotive team to help support our Specialized products business. Did you know we are the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of seating support and comfort systems for transportation manufacturers, as well as tier one and two suppliers within the automotive industry? Our automotive products fall into four primary groups: Seating and Lumbar support, Wireless Charging, Motors and Actuators, and Mechanical Cables. As a(n) Accounting Administrator you will have the opportunity to stay current on internal/external policy and regulatory matters to ensure Accounting and Payroll processes are accurate and compliant. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by addressing obligations to our customers, vendors, and employees. The team you will be working with is collaborative, and values attention to detail.
So, what will you be doing as a(n) Accounting Administrator?
- Process daily, weekly, monthly, and annual tasks to meet obligations to our customers, vendors and employees.
- Identify discrepancies and lead problem solving steps to correct in an accurate and timely manner.
- Comprehensive understanding and maintenance of relevant internal control requirements to ensure compliance.
- Reconcile related financial statement accounts in an accurate and timely manner, and in compliance with policy.
- Report on the status of Receivables, Payables and Payroll information as needed.
- Actively participate in the financial close process.
- Respond to ad hoc requests and report requirements as needed.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Post-secondary degree or certificate from an accredited University or College in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
- 3+ years of proven experience in an accounting administrator role within a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)
- Experience working in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of office equipment (copier, scanner, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills with an attention to detail and process
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- The ability to effectively prioritize work.
- High integrity and ethical standards, and an ability to handle confidential information
- Proficiency working in ERP systems.
Things we consider a plus:
- Familiarity with Microsoft D365.
- Automotive manufacturing environment experience
