Bird is a place where you will unlock your potential and achieve your goals.Bird Construction is looking for a Accounts Payable Administrator to join a transformative transit Infrastructure in Toronto. Reporting to the Account Payable Manager, the Accounts Payable Administrator will be part of a high-performing project team.
This position is located in TorontoWhat you will be working on:

• Review and process high volume of invoices and expense reports
• Follow up with project managers, project accounting teams, other departments and vendors to ensure issues with invoices are resolved and payments are processed in a timely manner
• Accurately record costs in the accounting system
• Adhere to corporate policies and procedures (including the Levels of Authority and Delegation) especially those that relates to the purchase, payable and payment business cycle
• Understand and handle Inter-company transactions in a complex organization structure
• Handle vendor inquiries
• Assist the finance team in monthly account reconciliations for the accounts payable related accounts
• Other related responsibilities as required

• 2 to 5 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prior experience in handling accounts payable in a project based company
• General knowledge of accounting principles and concepts
• Proficient in MS Office applications with strong Excel skills
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks, effective time management skills and able to meet deadlines
• Adaptable and flexible in taking on new tasks and responsibilities
• Experience with JD Edwards financial system an asset
• Organized, self-motivated, team player as well as an individual contributor
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Accustomed to a fast-paced environment
