Assessment accommodation
Northern Allowances (rates and conditions subject to change):
- Isolated Post Allowances: Approximately $24,595 / year to $42,918 / year
- Vacation Travel Assistance: Provided twice per year for each eligible member of the household (Approximately $2,068.50 every six months)

Provide administrative and operational support services as well as information and guidance to the Finance and Administration team.
Arranging travel for non-elective medical and dental travel and work with other Travel Arrangers for varying types of travel.
Input information in financial systems, maintain financial and administrative files electronically and on paper. Provide accounts payable/receivable processing support. Assist with various financial registers, verify accuracy and forward for further processing.
Perform administrative tasks such as: monitor generic finance email inbox, maintain office supplies for the administration office; coordinate mail pick up and parcel shipments; coordinate various electronic calendars.
Perform inspections of transient staff housing units (TU’s). Assist with housing & transient unit march-ins, march-out and booking guest stays. Ensure snow is cleared from front and back TU entrances and decks.
Cross-train with other members of the finance team.
Parks Canada Agency is a federal government agency responsible for the protection and presentation of Canada’s natural and cultural resources through a system of national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites in all regions of Canada.
In Nunavut, Inuit and Parks Canada cooperatively manage five national parks, one national historic site and one national marine conservation area. They are: Auyuittuq National Park, Sirmilik National Park, Qausuittuq National Park, Quttinirpaaq National Park, Ukkusiksalik National Park, the Wrecks of HMS Erebus and HMS Terror National Historic Site and Tallurutiup Imanga National Marine Conservation Area. Long before these areas received federal protection, Inuit lived, harvested and travelled these lands and waters. Many staff have connections to these places through their families and ancestors. To this day, harvesting and use by Inuit remains a protected right under the Nunavut Agreement. As a Parks Canada team member in Nunavut, you will help protect, present and share these incredible places so they remain for generations, by implementing the Nunavut Agreement and Inuit Impact and Benefit Agreements.

EDUCATION
- A high school diploma or public service commission-approved OR an acceptable combination of training and/or experience.
Degree equivalency
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in *administrative and operational support*; managing various tasks simultaneously
- Experience in using data base, word processing, email, spreadsheets
- Experience in processing requests from internal and external clients by phone, email or in person

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Willingness to work irregular hours, weekends, overtime, evenings and statutory and provincial/territorial holidays
- Willingness to complete training as required and identified by the field unit
- Willingness to wear a uniform while performing your duties
- You will be required to possess and maintain a valid Class 5 driver’s licence recognized by the province/territory applicable to this offer of employment
Reliability Status security clearance
