vbs apparel is looking for an Office Administrative & Marketing Assistant to join their team. The role reports to the Manager of Marketing & Communication and will act as the Company’s customer service expert, perform administrative duties, fulfill all online retail orders, support the team with marketing administrative duties and support with digital content creation and act as the social media assistant.
Your initial role will include:
- Administrative and clerical duties such as managing customer service email accounts, answering the phone, and routing calls appropriately, and acting as the customer’s first point of contact in the office
- Retail customer service, support, and order fulfillment for the Volleyball Stuff brand (online volleyball apparel and gear store)
- General customer support for vbs apparel and Volleyball Stuff
- Working with our CRM system (Monday.com) and Microsoft 365 tools such as Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Coordinating with third party services, such as telephone, internet, water, landlord, etc.
- Placing orders for office essential and providing accounting with appropriate receipts
- Organizing daily lunches
- Light cleaning duties
- Supporting with social media strategy execution for two brands: Content curation; crating, scheduling, and posting content; [photography; giveaway execution; and engaging with followers and responding to messages
- Marketing content creation support, copy writing and some design work
- Supporting with email marketing strategy execution including copy writing and layouts
- Event activation support and customer service such as pre-event and online sales order execution
- Supporting the company’s social committee with team activities
- Supporting the retail product team with new product design decisions
- Comply to company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe workplace
Additional responsibilities:
- Production support (as needed)
- Marketing support (as needed)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:
A successful candidate has:
- Impeccable customer service
- Experience with Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn social media platforms
- Excellent communication, computer & organizational, and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent grammar and writing skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Adaptable and flexible in a fluid and fast paced environment
Additional Notes:
- Experience with Microsoft 365 would be considered an asset
- Experience with digital content creation, copy writing, and creating compelling and engaging branded content would be considered an asset
- Proficiency in the marketing tools Meta Business Suite and MailChimp would be considered an asset
- Experience with design software (Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva) would be considered an asset
- Hours would include weekdays between 8:30am-4:30pm
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
