Educational Developer
Centre for Learning and Program Excellence
Applicants are to clearly demonstrate how they satisfy the selection criteria in their written

This competition may be used to establish a 12 month eligibility list of qualified candidates for
future vacancies.
D U T I E S
RRC Polytech’s Centre for Learning and Program Excellence (CLPE) works to advance teaching
and learning excellence in our academic programs’ delivery of applied education. The CLPE has
two Educational Developer positions available – one permanent, and one term. This competition
will also form an eligibility list for future openings.
This position offers an opportunity to be a change agent in the academic transformation of
Manitoba’s largest institute of applied learning. Successful applicants will work with a team of
dedicated professionals in the CLPE and collaboratively with faculty, Chairs, and Deans to
provide support and consultation to academic programs, including program development and
renewal.
Duties will include consultative support for academic transformation and modernization of
program delivery, faculty consultation and support, workshop development and delivery,
recognition of prior learning support, and curriculum and course development. The overall goal is
to enhance student learning experiences in all learning environments, including blended and
online. Incumbents may be assigned to specialized portfolios including but not limited to active
learning support, micro-credential development, implementation of equity, diversity, and inclusion
in educational programming, decolonization of curriculum and inclusion of Indigenous ways of
knowing, accessibility and universal design for learning, and recognition of prior learning (RPL).
R E Q U I R E D Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S
- Master’s degree in the field of Curriculum Development, Education, or a related subject. An
equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Experience in program and course design, development, delivery, and assessment at the post-
secondary level
- Experience delivering or facilitating workshops for adult learners
- Experience with the pedagogies of applied education
- Experience assisting, coaching, and supporting faculty to develop, revise and adapt curricula at
the post-secondary level
- Experience with the use of technology in the delivery of education
- Experience with the decolonization of curriculum and the implementation of Indigenous ways of
knowing
- Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to changing circumstances
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and individually with limited supervision
- Commitment to lifelong learning
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning
and continuous improvement
A S S E T S
- Experience teaching in varied formats of delivery (online, blended, face to face), ideally with
adult learners
- Experience with the processes of occupational analysis
- Bachelor of Education
