Job Description:Territory of Responsibility: Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic Provinces
Work Location: Ontario, (will consider alternate Province (ie. Quebec) depending on candidate suitability)
Segments: Healthcare & Education Verticals, regional Value Added Resellers (VARs) along with a set of pre-defined Large VARS (referred to as DMRs)
Willing to help relocate: No
Travel: Yes. 25% to 40% of time, (mainly within Territory & rest of Canada & USA as required).
Language: English with preference for bilingual candidates (English & French)
Reporting to: Canada with a dotted line to US SW Sales Director
Schneider Electric (SE) is accelerating the growth of its award winning Data Centre Infrastructure Mgt. (DCIM) software (SW) suite and has an opportunity for a Software Sales & Business Development person to join the Secure Power Canada team.
Our SW suite revolutionizes the way IT and data center professionals monitor and manage their critical IT infrastructure whether it be on-premise, in the cloud, or at the edge.
Our vendor-neutral architecture delivers a new standard for proactive insights on critical assets that impact the health and availability of an IT environment with the ability to deliver actionable, real-time recommendations to optimize infrastructure performance and mitigate risk.
This person will be the subject matter expert for all commercial activity related to our SW offers.
This is a hybrid sales role that will be responsible for both Business Development (ie. new funnel creation) & Sales of the SW opportunities within the Territory of Responsibility.
What will you do?
- Target Attainment for Territory of Responsibility
- Understand & own the renewal strategy (existing clients) along with promoting & upselling opportunities to the existing client base
- Work with Schneider Sales team to identify relevant prospects (inside of team’s existing funnel) & progress relevant opportunities towards making a sale
- Responsible for funnel generation & business development of new SW opportunities inside the Territory of Responsibility
- Cold call (as required) to develop own funnel of business
- Interact with Product team (LOB) in an effort to drive roadmap requirements
- Understand and document landscape to help differentiate Schneider’s offering from the competition
- Build awareness of Schneider’s capabilities to both new & existing clients
- Solve customer problems and participate in key negotiations in support of progressing & closing SW opportuniites
- Assist with planning of Sales Strategy within the territory
Qualifications:What qualifications will make you successful?

Bachelor’s degree (with minor in business is an asset)- 5+ years of experience in creating funnel and selling SW solutions
- Comfortable selling both perpetual licensing & SaaS SW solutions
- Previous experience selling to End Users, Verticals large VARs & Managed Service Providers (MSPs)
- Understanding of the TCO/ROI model & how to help clients with their budgeting requirements
- Knowledge of IT and/or infrastructure monitoring software and related hardware
- Comfortable taking a proactive approach to engaging clients even when SE does not have an existing client relationship
- Strong business acumen and presentation skills
- Self-Starter & someone that is motivated to achieve & exceed Targets
- For Quebec-based candidates functional French is required
