Job overview:
Clifton House is looking for the next great addition to our team! The Health Care Aide collaborates within the multi-disciplinary team on the delivery of quality care utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking and problem solving skills to meet resident/family needs.
Some of the primary responsibilities include: Demonstrating awareness and understanding of the resident needs; observing and reporting unusual signs/symptoms and incidences to the profession al nursing staff; Providing timely information to the supervising professional regarding observed changes in physical, mental or emotional status/behaviour of the residents; Participate in the care Plan for the resident; Recognize challenges related to vision, hearing, speech and language and adapt practice to minimize these challenges; Documenting all care provided and behaviours noted on the appropriate forms and in the Point of Care (POC) system; Promoting a healthy and safe practice environment – recognizing safety issues and reporting them immediately
This is a Permanent Casual position.

Required education and experience:
- Graduate of a Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide program
- Registration with the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
- CPR Heart Saver Certificate;
- Experience in geriatric, rehabilitation or long term care nursing desirable;
