Summary
Slegg Building Materials is currently seeking a Full-Time Cashier to join our team. The shifts are between Monday - Saturday with flexible times between 7am - 6pm. The wage range is $18.50 - $21 per hour, based on experience. Extended Health & Dental Benefits start after 3 months.

Responsibilities
Including but not limited to the following:
- Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers
- Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as a top priorities
- Greet and assist customers with purchases
- Process all point of sale, returns and payment on account transactions at the cashier counter in an efficient, accurate and friendly manner
- Answering phones
- Maintain product displays on selling floor in immediate area
- Provide suggestions and recommendations on products and materials
- General housekeeping duties including cleaning displays and sanitizing high touch areas and carts.
- Disinfect and clean counter tops, phones and keyboards
- Disinfecting and putting away returns
- Cover reception as needed
- Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Previous cashier experience is an asset
- Attention to detail
- Superior customer service skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment during peak periods
- Ability to work independently and as team
- Available to work flexible hours including weekends
- Physical requirements include:
o Ability to lift and carry up to 30lbs
o Standing for long periods of time - A positive can do attitude is essential!
The Location - Sidney, 2030 Malaview Ave.
