Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is currently looking for a Project Information Manager to join our Downstream & Chemicals team in Calgary.
Function:
- Responsible for the overall information management in areas of data and document control (home office and field).
- Plans and controls the implementation of a project information management strategy.
- Supervise project Document Management personnel.
- Oversee the implementation of applications that support the data, document and engineering activities on the project from planning to handover.
- Assignments range from small local office projects to large complex projects that involve multi-office execution and workshare and will typically extend to other Wood business units as well as other contractors and subcontractors
Responsibilities:
Work with Project Management and Information Management (IM) functional leadership to evaluate, update and / or establish standard work processes to ensure that the project, client and Wood information management objectives are met.
Responsible for the overall information management in areas of data and document control (home office and field).- Overall deployment, set-up, definition, management and support of IM systems and tools on a project.
- Overall change management of project client specifications, standards and requirements
- Implement the document and data metadata requirements for tracking, reporting and handover for all project systems
- Data and requirements analysis
- Provide IM systems support (user support, training, process improvements, reporting, etc) for Wood EDMS, Sharepoint, and other systems.
- Creation / support of reports from various systems
- Overall responsibility for all Project IM / DM procedures, instructions and forms (PIFs) including reviewing, updating and/or creating project specific PIFs
- Facilitate and improve the effectiveness of project execution through information work flow and communications between all project stakeholders during all phases of project execution
- Coordinate and ensure user training and secure access for project IM systems is provided to all approved company and third-party personnel
- Supervision of the Document Management and Information Management teams on assigned projects to ensure project objectives are met
- Provide support to Engineering Systems team (ES) to ensure engineering design tools outputs comply with client standards and specifications
- Ensure project compliance with Export Compliance Control (ECC) requirements and laws
- Provide guidance and review in the development of the Document Distribution Matrix (DDM) and Project Master Document Register (MDR) by the project Document Management Group
- Data analysis to support or create reports on the state of information management project deliverables
- Coordinate delivery and handover of project information to the client, including documents, data, 2D and 3D models and databases.
Skills / Qualifications:Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years progressive experience in Information Management, Project Management, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years experience staff supervision
- Minimum 5 years Experience in the direct support of EDMS systems, SharePoint (user support, training, documenting processes)
- Technical degree, diploma or certification in Information Management, IT Systems or equivalent would be an asset
- Demonstrable experience in creating and implementing work processes
- Demonstrable communication skills both written and verbal
- Demonstrable experience in creating and implementing data reports
- Experience in Microsoft systems (All Office applications, Power Query, PowerBI, Sharepoint, etc)
- Programming experience would be an asset
