POSITION: Employee Scheduling Clerk
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
CONDITIONS: Part-time (FTE 0.40)
HOURS:Approximately 30.0 Bi-weekly hours
SHIFTS:Days / Evenings / Weekends7.5 hours hours per shift(subject to change)
WAGE RANGE:Scale Minimum MaximumNONU $24.18/hr $29.01/hr
RESPONSIBILITES:
- The incumbent will be responsible for creating and maintaining master rotations of specific units/programs in consultation with the departments' Clinical Managers.
- To prepare and distribute unit specific staffing schedules, vacation planners, etc., in advance of posting, while adhering to the specific collective agreement language.
- Maintain staffing schedules on a day to day basis for accuracy, ensuring unit specific staffing quotas are accurate, and documenting all changes at time of occurence in the electronic scheduling system.
- To schedule replacement staff according to established collective agreements language and processes.
- To input/update staff hours in the HRIS as required (sick, vacation, leaves of absences, overtime) in an accurate and timely manner.
- To demonstrate QCH values, collaboration, accountablity, respect, innovation.
REQUIREMENTS:- Grade 12 or equivalent education required
- Minimum of one year current exprience in staffing and scheduling
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Word and a Human Resources Information System
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ablility to work effectively in a team environment with frequent disruptions
- Excellent organizational and time managment skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
PREFERRED:- Experience in a computerized scheduling / payroll system in a hosptial setting
- Post-secondary education from a recognized institution (Business Administration)
