The Student Achievement and Supports Branch within the Ministry of Education is seeking a highly skilled, energetic and well-organized administrative professional to join us as Executive Coordinator for a permanent position.
As part of the branch management team, you will provide overall administrative management to the branch and supervise three administrative staff. You will practice innovation, developing and implementing team-based procedures and systems to optimize office efficiency. You will provide advice to branch staff on government processes and will ensure standards for quality and timelines are met. You will provide senior administrative support to the Executive Director and plan, schedule and organize meetings and other events.

- have strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, SharePoint, presentation, communication and online meeting software;
- have the ability to format and proofread a variety of sensitive and confidential documents such as general correspondence, briefing materials, budget documents, Cabinet Decision Items, reports, tables, graphs and presentation materials;
- will have knowledge of the ARMS and ORS filing systems to manage branch filing and archiving;
- will be responsible for branch procurement and financial processes such as coding and reconciliation and will assist in branch forecasting and budget management; and,
- will plan, prioritize and balance diverse and conflicting workload pressures.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through formal education and extensive experience in a senior administrative position.
