Apply by July 27, 2023, and tell us what excites you about this role.We are currently looking for 2(two) HR Co-Op Students to join our Talent Acquisition Team in a Temporary Position reporting to the Manager Talent Acquisition.As a member of the Talent Acquisition Team, you will:Conduct background checks.Submit requests for pre-employment testing and assessments.Schedule and coordinate interviews; calling candidates, liaise with hiring managers, booking calendar appointments and meeting rooms, sending confirmation e-mails.Update requisitions in Taleo on a daily basis and throughout recruitments.Other recruitment-related projects as required.As a member of the Human Resources team, you will assist with administrative and generalist duties such as:Performance managementOrganization developmentEmployee orientation, development, and trainingAdministration and documentation of policies and programsEmployee relationship managementCommittee facilitationYou will be responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers, by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and RegulationsWhat skills will make you successful?You recognize yourself in most of the following competencies, and where possible possess the skills and experience listed below:Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in Human Resources or BusinessExperience in using SharePoint and applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as Taleo, considered an asset.Previous experience in a recruitment environment considered an asset.Results oriented and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail.Proactive in nature with high level of energy.Superior customer service and interpersonal skills.Ability to work with minimal supervision, to multi-task and prioritize.Ability to work well with a team as well as independently.Experience with MS Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) required.Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Emera: At Emera we value diversity, equity, and inclusion.
