Job Description
The Furniture Connection Warehouse/ Delivery Coordinator is ultimately responsible for the proper storage, maintenance, and repair (within his/her capabilities) of company goods at warehouse areas.
Warehouse Coordinator shall, for and/or on behalf of the Employer complete tasks and responsibilities, which include but not limited to the following:
· Manually pick orders from the warehouse according to packing lists and prepare orders for shipment
· Supervise and when self-delivering, perform loading/ unloading of FC goods onto/ from transportation trucks
· It is anticipated that FC Warehouse/ Delivery Coordinator will be performing physical delivery and driving duties as required to support business
· Upon departure and receipt of FC goods communicate with the office for appropriate adjustments in the FC inventory system. Keep track of FC goods that aren’t included in the inventory system, by “as close as possible” description on packing lists (invoices) or by taking and including photos
· When receiving, inspect furniture, document any damage, perform repairs (within capability) and clean goods prior to re-storing at designated storage spot
· Arrange for a third-party service required to clean or repair FC assets, when such work is beyond his/ her capabilities
· Report any major damages to the Operations Manager and keep the goods requiring professional repair at a designated area
· Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe warehouse environment. As per the above, FC warehouse has a strict organization with the goods stored in their allocated spot for ease of tracking and location.
· Storage of goods should be performed in a way not to cause any damage to the goods
· Conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned or required by the Operations Manager in a timely and professional manner
· Conduct minor warehouse and office maintenance and cleaning duties; supervise warehouse improvement projects as necessary
· Keep all Employer’s tools, equipment, and appurtenances in organized and clean manner
· Comply with FC Warehouse Safety rules
· As required perform deliveries, loading/ unloading, installation and cleaning duties for FC in western Canada. This may include transportation of FC furnishings to Vancouver, Saskatchewan, and northern Alberta
This position requires clean driver’s record and physical state fit for delivering and moving furniture
This is a full-time position and FC offers a competitive compensation with benefits available after 3 months.
